Even when the removable keel is not present, our VacuSeal Technology stabilizes the decoy on the water. The removable keel provides easy use and storage, less bulk on an ATV or in a boat, reduced weight, and greater versatility in shallow water or dry ground. You can use the Double Duty Decoys in less than 2" of water or even place them on dry ground surrounding the water.When do you NOT need to use the keel? Almost ALWAYS. Only in extremely high winds and waves do we suggest using the removable Opti-Keel. Without the keel, the Breeze-Ryder Base allows even the slightest wind or current to bring your decoy spread to life.
